Grape lemonade

The first two month of summer is over, but still sometimes sun try to stay as hot and bright! This grape lemonade helps you to stay cool and refreshed, and you can make it within few minutes, I promise!! Last week I got fresh juicy grapes and I decided to mix with some lemon juice. The tart citric taste was absolutely heavenly when it is combined with grape punch.

Today I have made this with normal cold water, I highly recommend soda or sprite because the carbonation added to the drink gives a perfect fizzy touch. Grape syrup is made by cooking the grapes with sugar, and then mixing with lime juice and water or  soda. Let’s see the method…


Pre time: 5 mins
cook time: 10 mins
serves: 2
INGREDIENTS
  • 3/4 cup fresh grapes
  • 4 tbsp of sugar
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 cups of cold water or soda
  • ice cubes
INSTRUCTIONS

Cook the grapes and sugar with little water (2tbsp) in a pressure cooker for 1 whistle. When cooker cools open it and cook for another 5 minutes. Mash the grapes and grind it.

Separate the grape syrup using a strainer and let it cool and pop it in the refrigerator.

Mix the cold syrup, lime juice, cold water or soda and ice cubes. Serve it!
